Prior to COSL I had a total of 20 years work experience in Equinor where I hold the position as Procurement Manager for 9 years for all rig intake processes worldwide. During these years I was directly responsible for more than 60 rig intake processes in the company. Also, in charge of specific procurement strategies and negotiations with clients, establishing evaluation procedures, criteria and recommendations, including contract administration of the contracts from commencement date to completion date. Former Advisor in Equinor for all drilling & well related procurement activities and responsible for preparation and revision of commercial requirements and guidelines, and processing deviations from company requirements. Purchasing Manager for casing & tubing to all of Equinor’s drilling operations worldwide. Altogether approx. 32 years of worldwide experience from the Oil and Gas industry.

Construction Manager
Kristian Thomassen has more than 35 years of working experience within the oil/gas/drilling/shipping industry. On/offshore mega projects worldwide for oil company, drilling contractors, drilling equipment vendor and oil/gas/passenger ships. 17 years experiments abroad in Asia, North America, South America, Middle East and Europe. Long experiments with fabrication in different yards, Coventry’s and cultures.
Over the last 10 years Kristian has hold position as Construction manager for EQN’s CAT J MODU rigs building program in Korea and Castberg FPSO in Singapore/Dubai. Further Kristian has worked as Construction manager for Aker Solution in Malasia.
Experience span from early phase studies to operation of mobile newbuilds. Have supported several newbuilds during construction in Asia/ Norway and followed up the Operation Preparations processes when entering the NCS. Maintaining a strong hands-on knowledge from positions as Technical section Leader, Chief Engineer on Semi-submersibles, Jack-ups, Cabel layer Vessel and Chemical Tanker vessels.
